Sound Check for The Loft Sessions

No one really got to see this. It’s in the afternoon light and not the neon of night. But witnessing Emily Sage and IAMSON collaborate for the first time was a necessary freeze frame. So I count it an honor to witness these little moments of creativity that no one else got to partake in. Watching people create is simple, vulnerable and spacious. There’s this draw you feel as you want to reach out and be part of what is developing, but I, as a photographer, know you need to give space for a creation to grow. It’s the best balance I have ever had to fight. There’s a tension between witnessing and grabbing hold for the ride. Standing on the threshold I’ll continue to be the bridge so you can see these lovely spirits dance in their own world they have created.
