Welcome Ryland

We’ve been friends for years. We were roommates for a time, and I watched Alyssa fall in love with her now husband. She stood in my doorway to my room and said “He’s a good man, he’s a really good man”. And I knew in that moment she was toast. A few months later they were married, and nine months later Grayson arrived! :) I remember holding him for the first time in the hospital and saying he looked so much like David. Birthday parties and taco nights came, and a couple of moves and pizza nights later, she called me with the news they were expecting their second. We’ve sat across from each other at countless coffee shops and brunch spots, only to smile and cheer the other on in the pursuit of life we have both chosen - never a moment of hesitation in fighting for the friendship and the defense of the other. She’s the most loyal wife, savvy business woman, and best mom combo to have in your life. So when Ryland arrived, of course I showed up with a balloon and succulent. I held him and said he looked like David, kissed his forehead and told him about his most amazing older brother. And Alyssa and I just sat and smiled at one another. It was another moment I will file away as an honor in witnessing a life. Because that’s what I love most about photography - you see growth, and you see change. It’s just that photography gives you marker to hold onto. I love seeing relationships, but man, how much can a person change is a testament to the need of witnesses.

So I give you Ryland Timothy. You and your family, Ryland, are so near and dear to my heart. Welcome to the family.
